Petits Fours
Table manners for eating petits fours. Petit fours are small sponge cakes baked in a slow oven and decorated with fondant icing. To protect the fingers from a sticky frosting, petits fours are presented in paper wrappers. The pastry and wrapper are removed together from the tray and placed on a plate.
Table manners for eating large petits fours. Large petits fours of more than a few bites are eaten with a fork.
Table manners for eating small petits fours. Small petits fours of two bites or less are eaten with the fingers.
