Condiments
Condiments are seasonings served whole, sliced, or in thick or thin liquid consistencies.
Table manners for using whole condiments. Whole condiments, such as radishes and olives, are eaten with fingers.
Table manners for using sliced condiments. Sliced condiments, such as pickles, are taken with a fork.
Table manners for using liquid condiments. Liquid condiments with a thin consistency, such as soy sauce, are poured over food; those with a thick texture, such as salsa or chutney, are spooned over food or eaten with a fork.
